I went to this little bakery because there was a yummy cake smell coming from this place but I had a unpleasant experience here. When I was waiting in line to order I saw some good looking and huge cinnamon rolls, then when it was my turn to order, I ordered 2 cinnamon rolls and I see this lady holding them up with the hands and putting them in a container with NO GLOVES, NO TONGS and I asked her, Ma'am don't you use gloves? and she says: no for this. O_o
Wanted to get some dessert for our last night in lake placid. I should have just flushed 20 bucks down the toilet. Everything tasted at least 3 days old. We're all lucky none of us chipped our teeth on any of the desserts. Bought a couple brownies and a couple cinnamon rolls everything was hard and lacked flavor. Sounded like rocks going down the garbage disposal.
Purchased a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting today and I'm pretty sure it was at least a few days old. It was hard, crumbly, and disgusting. There was very little variety and the lady at the counter was snippy and rude. Step up your dessert game!
So after having a life threatening bacteria case recently I didn't want to take any risk.
There are better options to satisfy your sweet tooth in Lake Placid.
I went there and the woman at the counter was sweet gave us extra and fesh snicker doodles and we had a nice chat best bakery ever.
