I was literally in tears booking a different place, but we're planning a destination wedding, and I need to know I'm working with someone who's communicative and responsive. If it takes 2 weeks just to get a quote, with the coordinator missing deadlines she set for herself, I'd really rather work with someone who actually treats me like they want my business.
Monday came and I got an email that said she'd get the quote to us by the end of the week, thanking me for my extreme patience (which at that point, I'd totally run out of patience).
Went there for Thanksgiving meal. The food was incredible and included wine pairings with each course. I had the braised short rib as my entre and it was the most massive rib I've ever seen. The food was prepared with culinary precision and the service was spot on. Our server was very attentive and went the extra mile. Everything about the experience was top notch. I would rate it 5 stars without reservation.
I couldnt believe the terrible service i received in the spa. Not to mention it cost an arm and a leg for a service that was horrible! If you plan on getting your hair done here don’t go to Alyssa might at well save your money and avoid her rudeness. Hotel was beyond beautiful and enjoyed my stay. But the spa/salon is a joke. Will not be returning.
The Whiteface Lodge is beautiful. I mean beautiful is even an understatement. This place could really sell itself. I've been dreaming about having my wedding here.
Well, it's Sunday and I never heard from her. So we booked another venue.
We have been Adirondack visitors for 35 years. This year we opted for The Whiteface Lodge and it went beyond our dreams. The gracious staff, the perfect room which included a fireplace and a jacuzzi and a full kitchen, robes and slippers. At Kanu I had the best steak I have ever had. Breakfast was included and beyond a anything we have had anywhere. The entire facility is beautifully designed and comfortable. I am already planning our next trip.
Beautiful rustic entranceway. Friendly bellhops/valets to greet us. Such old school charm, old wood frame. The kids enjoyed the corner balcony deck we had. Loved the buffet breakfast. Good options and local maple syrup. Having 2 little kids the heated pool and the laundry were a sanity saver. Super orderly cleaning staff. They were so sweet to the girls. Really quiet at night just far enough away from downtown to really feel out in the woods. The grocery store around the bend made it really easy to cook in the kitchen. Solid pots and pans.
No "I'm so sorry for missing the deadline" or "I'm super busy, I'll get back to you soon." Just a very terse, short response.
Such a huge letdown
Unfortunately, I won't be. The coordinator said she'd get us a quote the Friday after we visited. When Saturday came around without any word, I reached out to see if there was any information I could give her. Her response: Any specific date?
