This a great cafe in Lake Placid, NY. We had a delicious breakfast that was hot and tasty! They served one of the best omelets I've ever eaten! There is an extensive breakfast menu with many options. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, and the coffee was also hot and tasty. If you're looking for a great place for breakfast, head for the Farmhouse Cafe!
Excellent breakfast stop. We went here twice during our week long visit. Was able to try a variety of foods, including the Lake Placid omelette, the Barkeater French toast, and the pumpkin flapjack. All were delicious! Service was good too.
Only giving this place a star bc I felt bad for Jacob who was being reprimanded for seating us. We waited 10+ minutes at the door without being acknowledged, only two people working out front. Finally we walked up to the waiter who allowed us to sit at the bar (There was only two of us). The rude young woman asked him in front of us why he seated us and then made other rude comments in front of us. There was a group of 4 woman in front of us that were also waiting for a TABLE (meanwhile there were two open tables). She was slamming things, rolling her eyes and making us and other customers uncomfortable. We left. Didn't even order.
Great omelets, can choose whatever you want for reasonable price, even add fruit cups. Kids like it too, the blueberry pancakes especially. Highly recommend for breakfast /brunch.
Customer service is not their forte! Waited for twenty minutes only for a table that would have adequately sat 6 people to be given to a group of four that just walked in the door because “adding chairs” is a no no; As well as turning tables to accommodate a party of six because there wasn’t “room.” We will never return and wish we moved on. Highly recommend Big Slide Brewery for a brunch like meal. We stopped on our way out to try some beverages and regret our decision not to leave Farmhouse. Will post reviews everywhere I can to get the word out on how poorly this business is run.
