Visited 2 times during our 5 day visit to Lake Placid. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Lake Placid as a whole has great food and great service. This place really stood out. Great food, great drinks, great beer selection, great for families with kids, great service, great people. Brian was very friendly, accommodating behind the bar. The wait staff was amazing with service in general and with our children. They want your business and show it when you show up. I wish this place was located where I live and not in Lake Placid!
If you're looking for homemade, delicious food, the Pickled Pig is what you're looking for. They make their own burgers from 3 different cuts off meat, brine their own brisket and make their own ketchup and BBQ sauce, just to name a few things. We ordered the brisket platter with tater tots and a burger with their homemade chips. While visiting the Lake Placid, this place is definitely worth stopping for!
I expected better. We were in for lunch around 2ish and it was not busy at all. We had a table of 7. They host didn't seem happy when I wasn't willing to squish 4 people in a 3 person area. The service was extremely slow. It took 15 mins for our server to come. Then another 15 for drinks. She stopped by once after the food came and then we had to flag her down for the check. The food was priced right if it had been what we were expecting but it was overpriced for the underwhelming food. There's a lot of competition in this town. They need to step up their game all around.

Loved the burgers and great beer selection. Fun atmosphere. Definitely will go again. Our waitress clydemarie was amazing.
