We spent two nights in a Lakeside view room. The room was clean and serviceable and the view was stupendous. The service was adequate. Staff were helpful. I would stay there again.
I stayed in a lakeside room and the view was amazing from my balcony. The hotel although older is well maintained and was clean. The staff is polite and helpful. I would definitely stay again.
Terrible costumer service skills. We had a king room on parking lot side. The room was fine but not as up to date like other hotels. We slept on the bed the first night and noticed a huge lump in the middle of the bed, we went to the front desk to see if we could change rooms. They first wanted to "fix" the bed, which we agreed too but there was not a way to fix it unless they got a new bed. So we came back later in our day and they said they only have one room for tonight but not tomorrow. My husband was confused seeing if this happened in any other hotel they would have offered a solution. Instead we told them we will check out. I called because I left something behind after our stay, and still no phone call back after 3 days plus everytime I call the office they hang up. I would ONLY recommend if its cheaper then most hotels. Good Luck Folks!
The Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort in Lake Placid is by far the best hotel experience in Lake Placid. They have a great workout/fitness center that my good friend Dan and I took full advantage of. The shower in the fitness center provided me with one of the greatest showering experiences I have had in my entire life. The location is unbeatable, right on mirror lake with an unbeatable view. I loved how the small mall was right next to the resort with cool shops, good food, and a great little coffee shop with a killer view (try the maple-flavored coffee). All in all, if you want an awesome experience with a great view, a great shower, great towels, and a cool balcony overlooking the street (bet ya can't find it ;), then check out the Golden Arrow!!!
