Rooms are adequate, service was good, and the location was excellent.
Adjacent to main lobby/reception area there is a spacy Hall with a bar and bunch of tables with chairs and couches. Gas fueled fireplace with foosball and pool tables also available. Balcony overlooking mirror lake right there, too.
Rooms were nice and clean. In general, interior decoration was nicely themed for rustic cabin and made cosy impression.
I stay at the Lake House once year for a long weekend and it has got nicer and nicer over the last couple of years. The staff, common amenities, location, atmosphere is just perfect for what I like and expect out of Lake Placid.

This is a great place nice pool facility, Beautiful view. Great time of year
Visited this place right after the end of the season, in late October for several days. Was greeted and helped by friendly staff. Reception/lobby area always had fresh lemonade and sometimes other treats available. Fresh coffee in the morning.
Decent room close to lake amenities but there are not enough kayaks/SUP's to go around and seeing as that is a perk for paying as much as you do for a room, they should buy some more, I'm sure they could afford it.
