Food and experience stunningly good. Beyond expectations, and I was the subject of some hype. Kitchen is delivering big time. It's the real deal if you like food and flavors.
My husband and I just spent a 10-day vacation hiking the Adirondacks and soaking up the history of Philadelphia. We indulged ourselves at many fine restaurants, but two of our meals ranked in the top 5 best meals ever in 40 years of taking vacations and one of them was at this fine little place. I had the hush puppies (superb) and the wild mushroom ragout polenta. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. My husband had the duck and he said there was only one other time that he remembers having duck prepared so beautifully and so well. The only downside to our meal was that we were too full to order dessert. Which must be just blissful...
Friendly staff and trendy menu. The food tasted great but the portions were tiny. Had the elk bratwurst for appetizer and there was 3 bites on the plate. The entrees weren't much better size wise. I'd say the plates have half or even the third of the food you'd get at other same style restaurants in Lake Placid, and for the same price...
Great service the staff was very outgoing! The food was way above average. We will definitely return here!
Wonderful! Great service and reasonable prices for very interesting food prepared in scrumptious ways. I got the paneer cheese (spicy but not a bad spicy) and spinach salad (so fresh!) and my husband got the hush puppies and burger, which were all wonderful. Good beer selection and dessert was a pretzel pie, which was so light and nice. I'd recommend you sit outside if you can. We'll be back when we return to the area!
