Food was good. Service was lacking ... we got in line asked the host how much time she said only a couple minutes, i am clearing tables now. We waited for about 20/30 minutes before we were sat. We had an awesome table right along the Lake, very pretty but our waitress was rude, rushing our order as soon as she got to the table then we said we needed a few minutes she came back 15 minutes later. It was busy but we could only see 4 tables that she was tending too. Food was great, they charge $1.00 for syrup. The waitress never checked on us until the bill, we had no ketup or syrup until our meal was done. We actually had to hand our bill off because our waitress did not come back to take it. Again service is seriously lacking for the prices.
I went here today with my fiance; not exaggerating when I say we both felt it was one of the best breakfasts we have ever eaten. They had a variety of items on the menu and had gluten free options available, not to mention, the service was fantastic. The BC, etc. is a must for your next trip to Lake Placid!
The wait was greater than this site indicates. Over a half hour. Plus another wait at the tiny table. The view was nice though. Ordered a smoked salmon bene which was good although the poached eggs was on the rather uncooked side. My main issue was with the fact they served cold coffee and hash browns that we're not cooked enough.
I really liked the food. The staff are also nice. I got the French toast fondue and shared it with my sister. There is also a beautiful view of the river (or it's a lake). It's stunning.
I loved this place. To start off with our server was extremely friendly and uplifting, he helped us with our choices and gave us ample time to order. The food was really good, everything came out exactly how it was ordered. Good coffee and cappuccinos too. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.
