We rarely go out and when we do, we worry that things just won't be worth the price. We've been to several places in Lake Placid that were just average, in spite of the prices. We saw some positive reviews about this place and decided to go there for our last night in town. Our waiter (Adam, I believe) was great. We never felt rushed and we got a table at the window overlooking Mirror Lake, even though we didn't have a reservation. The steaks were perfect and my wife loved the scallops that were part of the surf and turf. The "kids" steak was almost as big as the 12 oz. strips. This is our second summer visiting Lake Placid and it was by far the best restaurant we've visited.

Excellent food. Portion size was so large we couldn't even finish. Great variety on menu. Fabulous service. Excellent views of lake. Overall wonderful! We will definitely be visiting again.
Steak "sandwich" special was an actual full size strip steak. Outstanding! Always enjoy the "summer sour" when I visit.
We loved everything - the attentive waiter, the burgers cooked just right, the stunning view of the Mirror Lake on a sunny fall day.
