Great local hangout. Creative menu, fun casual atmosphere and "local" prices as we like to call it in lake placid. You won't pay tourist fees for the same food here.
My husband and I stopped in early evening on a Friday night, about 6:30. The restaurant and bar were very busy. We were told the wait was about 30 minutes, but we had only waited about 5 minutes, when we heard the hostess offer the couple in front of us their table. They turned down the high table in the bar because it was too loud in the bar they said, so the hostess turned to us to see if we wanted to sit in the bar. We took the table and was surprised it was actually quieter in the bar than in the main diningroom. The waitress was very nice and after ordering, we were served quickly. We had the chicken sandwiches. Very delicious meal.
Amazing food and location. So many awesome options on the menu and everything I try is excellent. Chicken nachos and maple bourbon wings are two of my favorite. We always sit on the patio which overlooks a gorgeous dam and bring our dog. It's great (and a bit rare) that such a nice place is so welcoming to dogs. We go more than once when visiting Lake Placid and I always recommend it to others in the area. It's extremely consistent. Best restaurant in the area!!
We stopped here on our way up to Lake Placid for the Can Am games. The food was fresh and very good. Their was a great variety and both traditional and no traditional dishes. Something for everyone in our family of 6. The waiter was very attentive and charismatic. If we're ever up here again we'll be sure to stop in
The best place to eat and hang-out - the staff really know how to warm your heart and satisfy your appetite - the food is unique to the area. Very Yummy, savory and large servings. You'll fall in love with the place too.
